Safety Team
Cathedral’s Safety Team helps watch over our church family when we gather.
Purpose
The CBC Safety Team exists to safeguard the well-being of our church family by fostering a safe environment that reflects our ministry’s values and mission.
Through careful planning, proactive risk management, and shared oversight, the team is committed to ensuring that members, guests, and staff can worship, serve, and fellowship in peace and safety.
Responsibilities
To fulfill this purpose, the Safety Team provides leadership and guidance at CBC by putting in place preventive safety measures and emergency response procedures.
Ready help when someone in our church family needs care during a service or event.
A calm response when someone is in distress, or when help is needed during a service or event.
Clear procedures for fire, gas leak, weapons, or a bomb threat, so people can leave safely.
The team maintains readiness during services and church events and also helps staff and ministry volunteers in emergency response.
Vision
Our vision is to build a culture of safety and preparedness at CBC that aligns with our mission to glorify God, nurture community, and spread the Gospel.
Through these efforts, the CBC Safety Team seeks to practice stewardship, diligence, and faith so that our church remains a sanctuary for worship and spiritual growth.
“But we prayed to our God, and because of them we set up a guard against them day and night.”
Nehemiah 4:9, NASB1995
